Mas Blanch i Jové—Spain
A small family-founded vineyard, Mas Blanch i Jové is located in La Pobla de Cérvoles (Lleida) some 700 metres above sea level. For generations the family has intimately worked the land, becoming familiar with the natural rhythms of the local ecology. The vineyard lies in the basin of the River Segre and operates on the tenets of love, respect, and harmony. Love for their work. Respect for the land. Honing their craft in harmony with the environment. The 17-hectare vineyard is cultivated with the utmost care to optimize the quality of the grapes, which are transformed into their remarkable wines in their cellar which is seamlessly integrated into the mountainous hillside. The vineyard and cellar also feature the exceptional artwork of several notable artists. The vineyard operates almost exclusively on the solar energy produced by their 110 solar panels and the wines are certified organic by the CCPAE, making them pioneers among vineyards worldwide.
